DNA/Paternity Test In Singapore

I did a search on the forum on whether any bros here who did a DNA/Paternity test on their child and found no thread.

Anyway ... I wanted to do a paternity test on myself and my kid, but I can only find that HSA(Health Science Authority) provide such services. However the cost of it is pretty expensive.

I am appealing to all bros who knows any avenue that I can go to for a cheaper DNA/paternity test.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Well .. the truth is that it's nothing for me ... even if the child might not be mine .. I will still keep it ...

I just wanna know the truth ... about my wife ...

I have a nick for myself being stone cold hearted lover ... so I wun feel any sadness .. or need any sympathy ... so it's ok ...

I just need the avenue to do the DNA test ...

Some bro mentioned checking the blood group .. it's a good piece of advice .. I will go for that ... but first ... lets' try the blood drop in the bowl first ..

Anyway .. I am still looking for a cheaper avenue for blood test ... and I wanna it in Singapore ... so anyone knows anything ?

I am going to check with my GP tml ... but I just wanna check with all the fine people here ... first ...

blood drop in water not really accurate and blood group testing might not give definite answer...
if u blood type AB then ur wife O, ur kid either AO(which is A cos A is dominant over O) or BO (which is B)
if u blood type B(its either BB or BO) ur wife B oso, kid cant have A.
same for both parents A.
if u O(means OO) and ur wife O, kid cant have A, B or AB.
if u A and ur wife B, then inaccurate cos:
1) u AA wife BB -> kid AB
2) u AO wife BO -> kid AO, BO, AB, OO
3) u AA wife BO -> kid AB or AO
4) u AO wife BB -> kid AB or BO
same for u B and wife A.

so actually a blood group test is not so accurate if u die die wanna know whether the kid is urs anot.

bro you refering to the centre for forensic science is it?? i think they are the only one in singapore to do such tests. I hope all goes well for you

Ans was A and B, cos all A and B contains O.

If the blood type gene is from both the parents, let see the combination possible.

eg. top is father and down is mother. cos blood type can have

A | O
------ = AO(A), BO(B), AB(AB) or OO(O)
B | O

(if from blood type is inherited from only one parent.. then very easy.. 1=1. eg. A=A lor...)

there will be 4 scenarios:

1+3 = AA
1+4 = AO
2+3 = AO
2+4 = OO

but the chances of having AA is quite little. AO quite common. so theorectically got AA and BB jus tt not so many only. hope this proves my point.
