More scholarships and loans for Malay students

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Perkasa is urging the government to re-look scholarships and loan allocations for Malays and Sabah and Sarawak Bumiputeras, especially those studying in Egypt and Indonesia.

“Perkasa realises there is an economic gap between the Malays and Bumiputeras, and non-Malays that favours the non-Bumiputeras.

Other demands by Perkasa were for Malays and Bumiputeras, who obtained a seats in local public institutions of higher learning and private institutions abroad, to receive full scholarships and loans instead of just in part.

He told those attending the seminar that the Chinese had no problems because education had always been their priority.

“The Chinese have no problems in terms of the economy. In Kuala Lumpur, all the tall buildings are by the Chinese.
“Shopping complexes and supermarkets are all owned by the Chinese. They don’t have problems.
“Education, they have no problems. They monopolise higher education fields in universities.”
He admitted that he even refused to go for award ceremonies at higher learning institutions because he was upset that the best student chancellor awards and such were taken up by Chinese.

The Umno man added that the situation with the Chinese was that parents started saving for their children’s education from birth.
He said it was the Malays who faced problems and struggles. Hence, it was not wrong to seek that their rights were upheld according to the Federal Constitution.
