The programme "SG 50" was telecast on February 28, 2015 on BBC World News.
Many Sinkies were asked the question: "What is it to be Singaporean?" and they fumbled for answers.
IMHO the most shocking answer has to be from a 70ish Chinese Sinkie wearing a dark grey shirt. Let's call him A.
A's answer goes something like this (and I'm paraphrasing): "I was enabled to succeed in life in Singapore by the others. To be Singaporean means to help the others to succeed in life."
All Sinkies know that it was Old Fart and his cronies
enabled A to be successful in Sinkieland. What A plans to do now is to
enable the cronies to succeed in life. It's qui pro quo, no?
