The gold skintight suit appears to be inspired by the five stars and crescent moon on Singapore's national flag, and is matched with gold thigh-high boots. In one of the photos, she is carrying a large gold crescent moon on her back. Venezuelan celebrity designer Alejandro Fajardo Diaz designed the costume, according to The New Paper. Last year's Miss Universe Singapore costume, which had a large fan adorned with orchids, was designed by local fashion designer Riyan Haffys. Miss Menon, 24, was crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2014 in August last year.
