Scolded for wearing short shorts!

I guess this probably isn't the best place to talk about short shorts. Being a sex forum, I'm sure it's only a happy accessory on us girls for you boys. But what do Singaporeans actually think about this short shorts craze?

We call em' Daisy Dukes or booty shorts back at home. I was wearing a pair of daisy dukes today and got scolded by an older lady or "aunty" as they're called here. She told me and my friends to be more decent in public. Being yelled at wasn't that shocking but we didn't think we were dressed promiscuously. It was very odd.

For the sake of the post, i was wearing short daisy dukes with a pink tank top and an open white long sleeved shirt. Yes, the bottoms of my butt cheeks may have been peaking out but it's not like I had my boobs out. One of my friends was wearing jeans with a tank top which actually had the sides cut open but she was wearing a bra underneath so it wasn't like she had her tits out either. And my last friend was wearing a shortish t-shirt baring her midriff but she had an open long sleeved shirt on too. And her shorts were short too but a tight fit.

In general I don't think it's slutty to dress this way. It's hot in Singapore. You wear what's comfortable and what's stylish too. And yes sometimes, we know what our assets are and we like to show them off but it's not like we're making a porn in public. It was a bit surprising today. Are all Singaporeans like this? I see a lot of girls dressed the way we are so I don't think so. Hope we're not being viewed as a bunch of cheap American hookers! Yike!

Dun worry about so much.. the society is opening up but the pace is crawling.. not everyone is ready to accept the way u and ur friends dress in.. u will need to give and take at times.. importantly respect is the ultimate.. dress accordingly to the events or venues and u should be alright..
