SINGAPORE: Eleven foreign workers were charged in court on Tuesday with rioting at a construction site.

The four Chinese nationals and seven Bangladeshi nationals were accused of fighting at the site for Rainforest Condominium off Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3.

The suspects, aged between 21 and 46, allegedly punched and kicked members of the other nationality following a dispute on April 6 at about 3.15pm.

For rioting, they face a maximum penalty of seven years' jail and caning.
