The body of a woman was found in a canal near Block 110 McNair Road Thursday morning, Channel NewsAsia reported.
The police said they received a call about the find at Whampoa River at about 7.30am. And paramedics pronounced her dead at about 8.30am.
Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel were seen searching the canal. The woman was reportedly decapitated.
The news channel reported that she had on a pair of black pants.
The police have classified the death as unnatural and are investigating.
