Hubei Uni not exactly top tier China University. Knowing from experience PRC aren't exactly very fluent in English, why is this GLC paying PRC more in a job practically a non graduate Sinkie can do?

Walan, Changi Airport Group pays PRC Customer Service staff more than locals

Zhang Xixi and Liu xueli, both graduates from Hubei University of Economics are now working as Customer Service Officer at Changi Airport and earning RMB 15000 per month (SGD 3131). As an airport staff, they are not only expose to different cultures of the world but also enjoy the benefit getting to know more about Southeast Asia culture. Both received staff confirmation letter after undergoing 4 months of training.

I am sure there are many Singaporean job seekers will be keen in taking up this job since they are paying such a generous salary for a customer service officer position.

However, according to this link, the salary for customer service officer position (for Singaporean and PR ONLY) is only up to SGD 1,700 with incentives and bonus: http://www.jobstreet.com.sg/jobs/201...44662.htm?fr=R

So are these two FTs overpaid by nearly 50%? (according to the article, both were rejected by Dubai hotel during their first interviews).

There are many Singaporeans who are well-equipped in at least 2 languages. With a salary over 3k, I am sure many job seekers will be keen in taking up this job. At present, there are too many FTs staff working at Changi Airport. It is really disheartening to see our very own airport is infested by so many FTs staff and it is also disheartening to know that while these 2 FTs are paid SGD 3131, they are offering the locals and PR to the max salary of SGD 1700.

I would be grateful if you are able to conduct an intensive check in this issue.

Thank You!
