Still a long way to go for vacination for STI, currently there is only vacination for HPV.

Vacination will be better for humankind but it's long road with lots of obstacles.

The current HPV vaccine is only a few type of HPV only. IT DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST ALL HPV.

Other than that condoms, will ultimately only reduces the chances of getting STIs.

Having "fun" definitely will have its risks, so always play safe. Use protection and get vaccination if available and possible.

Like all drugs, never trust your doctor's word at face value. Most of you have probably heard of the HPV vaccine called Gardasil that repels the virus that supposedly causes cervical cancer. It has killed people in India and has been taken off the shelf. Google and you shall be enlightened.

A bit off topic but since we are talking about prophylaxis and closer to home, most parents would be familiar with the MMR vaccine. It has been swirling around for years that it carries a potential autism risk. Have you ever been warned by your doctors? Would you go ahead and allow your kid to take the jab knowing those risks?
