STD? Think with your big head, not the small one

Fellow samsters,

visited a particular house in L8 few days back.Two days ago, i noticed a slight sore in my groin region. It's located next to my thigh and penis. Really freaked out so went to the doc the next day. Doc told me that it was a lymph node(sounds chim? and farking scary), anyway did a search and realised that its actually a swollen gland due to an infection. He gave me antibiotics and a cream to apply. Now 2nd day but still hasnt subside yet.
Well, the thing was, i did not ask the doc if it was STD, as he did not ask me if i had sex and i asked him if it was serious and he said no (yah rite..real assuring answer...did not even bother to find out more details from me).

Anyway, just posted this cos a whirl of thoughts went through my mind as to whether it was really worth it for that moment of heavenly experience followed by a haunting for the rest of your life? Tot that i should really have thinked with my big head and not the small one.

Anyway, now i'm still waiting to see if the condition gets better. Meanwhile i really hope that any kind samsters or perhaps one of you are a doc, can shed some light on my medical condition. I have no other symptoms, no discharge nor anything jus that swollen lymph node. Pls help. Thanks.

Meanwhile, think it is not appropriate for me to disclose the house and gal but if any of you really want to know, can pm me. Pray for me guys. Hopefully it is just being plain paranoid.

do you think its necessary to go down to DSC for a checkup?

Better to do a check. Some stds got no symptoms. I presume u did engage in high risk sexual activites such as BBBJ. Advise u to go for a check. For HIV u have to wait 1 month. Stds some needs time to develope. Most likely u r safe but accident do happens.

Well, A STD check is best. And for sores and growth... I got nothing to comment as I am not a doctor. But the growth could be something else also. Like most brothers say:

See a doctor

actually one of the sores was like a pimple, sorta like can squeeze the white head out. Yikes...sounds a bit gross

...hopefully it's just heaty and not other probs...damn fucked up... wanted to cheong this weekend again but as a result gotta tahan...can someone enlighten where is DSC...as to how to get there...thanks alot

nvm.... found out its location from streetdirectory.com ...but can someone tell me the process we have to go thru there...sigh~...i'm like a man who doesnt know whether he will be sentenced to death..

sigh~....juz came back from DSC.
Firstly, to start with...there was a very sad and "death" atmosphere over there as pple walk in and out for tests. My heart missed a beat when my number flashed. This was made worse by the attidudes of the staff over there. It was definitely not like wad brudders described with caring and polite staff.

Anyway, now to the crucial part. I was first examined by a male nurse. He looked and then after some conversation, told me if i wanted to take a HIV and Syphilis blood test. I opted for only the syp blood test. He drew my blood and then told me to wait outside the other room.

Waited and waited. Became more and more nervous. Was initially hoping for him to tell me that it was nothing serious. Now???. Finally, it was my turn. Went in and greeted by the medical officer. Certainly wasnt entirely friendly. After i told her my condition and she inspected, told me that it could be syphilis. My heart sank. Said that i took the blood test. Told me that i have to wait for one week for result. Worse thing was that she said that it certainly doesn't look like an acne. Heart sank again. Worse thing was that she said that it could be cured if diagnosed with syp, but even so, i will have to do follow-up for 2 years. 2 years??? This means that i will have to live with this shadow for 2 years. And i juz read up on the website that even if symptoms do not appear, the virus can still be in your body attacking your organs.

I have sworn to never engage with a geylang pro again. The pain that follows with it is definitely not worth it.

Now, i won't be able to sleep this week. Until when my results come out. And hopefully, it's negative. I told myself once more. Think with your big head not the small one. *sigh*

Bro.. sorry to hear abt that, but there is still hope that it is something else. Just becareful in the future. There are medications in modern days to help. GOod luck to you.

Bro ting feng, nothing u can do. Try to enjoy each day just like b4. Live life as per normal. Engage in some sports, work, video games. This was what I did when I waited for my results. In fact, I even sit down and watch lousy tvs shows cause I don't want to think about it. Haha....

Just remember your appointment date. Will get results in a week's time so no need for assumption. Good luck. Hope u get cleared.

If arrive too early can go to the macdonalds nearby and lim the 'vanilla coke' and eat sun dae or hot fudge or go desker walk walk. Last option better not lah cause later kena tempted.

I bet you, you will be alright, most probably it is boil and when it appeared near your groin area naturally your nymph node will swell. Syphilis is around the size if a 5 or 10 cents coin and it is hard and painless. When it burst it shaped is like a volcano and that takes years and into another stage.
Don't worry you will be okay and those staff at DSC normally behaved like what you said because we gave them more work.
