Electricity tariff for households to increase by about 8.7% in April-June: SP Group

SINGAPORE — The electricity tariff for households will increase by about 8.7 per cent, or 1.77 cents per kilowatt hour (kWH), from April to June this year, compared with the previous quarter. This is mainly due to higher cost of fuel for producing electricity by the power generation companies, utilities agency SP Group said on Wednesday (March 31).
