Bro, think it’s difficult to have one perfect place with the best of everything. Different preference for individuals and sometimes also need to see luck haha. But here’s my 2cents on the few you asked about.

Catwalk - one of the largest joint so they have wide selection. playability varies quite abit. Some purely play games only, while I’ve heard of rather wild stories. Butterfly time also varies a lot depending on which session you go.
Gala - so far girls I’ve seen quite decent and they don’t butterfly too long. But mid playability.
Avatar - above average selection. Playability not as much as its sister joints underground (high) and galaxy (v high)
UME - above average selection. Playability similar to gala since same boss.

IMO, try each of them for yourself and see which you prefer!

IMO, try each of them for yourself and see which you prefer!

Used to frequent KTV alot but in terms of cost effectiveness have switched to FL/ML where you pay lesser and get the full deal. Playability in KTV is always a hit and miss as long as its within the premises and on top of that you still have to pay additional cost like alcohol and redundant misc tips (waiter/mami)

Not forgetting that a viet FL only cost between 120-200 per pop for the full service whereas a buy out fee in KTV is 500 and above (not including the money you spent within the premises).
Tips used to be much lower pre covid but has not come down since and they take customers for carrot head to keep delivering more money. If playability is a factor, it is much more cost effective to go for FL where you pay just a fraction of the money to get the job done. Money is hard to earn in this economy and it should be spent wisely. Think with the right head. Just my two cents worth

Tried deluxe ktv(known for sg girls), didnt find much explanation for it, so thought i contribute.

1) The main mummy doesn't appear but still makes the decision related to payment, hence each room is handled by an assigned assistant mummy(theres 6? of them for 17? rooms).
As you may expect, the assistant mummy are the more chios and slightly seniors girls, so things are abit chaotic because the ground ops are managed by these young assistants.
2) Theres a clear distinction between play and non-play girls.
Sadly the non-play girls are the chio and singaporeans.
Very little playable girls are actually from sg, mostly malaysia pr. The playable sg girls.... dont expect too much from their face.
3) I think most bad experience comes from choosing non-play girls as they can be quite boring...just talk and play dice, takes a while for them to warm up.
On the other hand, i seen some wild happenings in other rooms so either they picked those playable girls or had great chemistry with the non-play girls
4) only start operating from 9pm...some girls come even later at 11pm due to this being their part time work, also the catalog changes daily as some of the sg girls are not fixed.

Damage is 150 (just pay the assistant mummy), 100 for non play girls, 200 for play girls, liquor standard prices, 20 for waiter

Overall, this place would only make sense to you if you are interested in sg girls(ITE ah lians, air stewardess, uni xmm type) and cant get any outside. Also need to invest some effort for them to open up to you.
Otherwise, stick back to viet KTVs for cheaper and more action.

If you are worried, you can inform them upfront that because there is only 1 person in the room, you will only pay them $10 for the tip. Anyway, there is also service charge in the bill.

The waiter tip was there in the past because there is no service charge for most place in the past. Thus, the waiter tip is not standard... The service rendered by the waiter is good like the waiter come in talk or drink with you to build relationship, then can consider giving more to reward good behaviour. Else, there is no point giving more as there is service charge in the bill already.

When the session is not good like girl missing very long or not enough girls, then i might not even give waiter tip. This is because you only give tip when you are happy with the session. If the session is not good, why even give tip when you are not happy?

Let me clear this once and for all:

1. "Service charge in the KTV bill" is not meant for the waiter. The 10% that u are paying is what the mummy gets in the end. Mummy not only earn from the tips of $100 that u give, but also the drinks you ordered. That's why when one order bottles, they more happy. They don't earn so much from the beer towers. Why u think mummy so rich nowadays?

2. Waiter job is not to take care of the girls. Girl missing or not enough girls got nothing to do with the waiter. Their wage is very low. They can be nice to u if they see u quite often in the KTV as they also got insider info. Your $30 will greatly helps the wage of the 3 waiters rather than giving $30 extra to the girls which won't make any difference.
