The gals have ten fingerprint profile captured by the ICA and it doesn't matter if you come in with real/fake or multiple passports. By doing so is already a form of forgery. Unless the gal has multiple fingers that she can choose to put on everyday. Like I have already mentioned earlier in previous posts that to be honest, you have a better chance. u are right,again it all boils down to pure luck some manage to clear the gate without much hassle countless time,some try to smoke thru just one time and gana buzzed liao.there is no room for leniency or compassion once gana charged its jail for sure.it will further jeopardise your chance of any reunion.betta to heed SC advise.honesty the best policy....

my gf was detained by ICA when we went down to apply for extension of her visa when she was granted 14 days visa and was abt to end soon. this is her 1st visit with her genuine passport bearing her genuine name.
However, she was here previously to apply to solicit legally(Cat40) with another fake name passport by her Boss changi women's prison now.
I was advised by ICA Investigating officer try not to engage lawyer for her as it will bring no results for lighter sentence. Coz the mandatory is minimum 1 year. I am at a loss now. I believe with yr experience u can help me.

1) Can i go over to AVB and try clearing her previous record? becos from my gal she is ignorant of her past becoz of her young age. her boss abuse her ignorance and forger a passport for her to solicit legally here and lie abt her age. She was banned from coming in to spore and sent back home in her 1st visit (for a day stay only.)

2) Should i heed the IO 's advice and NOT to engage lawyer for her in lighter sentence and wait for her?

3) even the ICA IO understand and believed our merely pure love. but i think they dun really bother.

4) when she be released , will she be probably be deported back and barred from coming in again? coz we just simply want to start a family.

It a very disadvantageous and complicated situation. Its like you being caught with drugs and trying to explain that someone planted it earlier on you. Nobody is gonna believe you, there ain't no proof.

The lawyer won't help in reducing the terms further than the minimum sentence. And the mandatory ban from singapore would probably be imposed for a period of several years.

AV will not clear her records, technically she has been here before. The records will be there.

If you are serious, you'll probably have to wait for her and be prepared to make frequent trips over to thailand. Remember, you have all the time in the world to visit her in thailand, usually 30 days stay is permitted when you clear the thai immigration. For her, it'll be difficult. Imagine the fear and trauma each time she has to cross the singapore immigration counter? Trust me, once she has been in detention, she wouldn't feel like coming back anymore. Its a rotton experience. Just a thought.

my advise is similar to SC,at least u are doing something for her by getting lawyer.to be frank it doesnt carry much weight,his case is same as my friend's peer.she was sentenced to 3 yrs at portsdown prison after remission was 2 years,this type of case is very clear cut and serious.they even backdate and charge her for 3 previous immigration offence dated a year back.fortunately it was to be concurrent. She will be deported back after the sentence.u gonna try your best to write in to apply for visit its goingto be hard coz u are not the immediate next of kin.tele visit is usually granted once a mth.make full use of her stay inside and plan for the future overseas,dun ever think of settling down here wif
her its going to be hard,u can try dun give up.

The mandatory is min 1 year, and could be sentenced more. Having a lawyer to plead for leniency with some mitigating factors gives them some hope and hopefully she gets a lesser sentence.

Case to case also. There are similar stories like yours where never get caught also.

Also when I asked that samster did he declare truthfully in the declaration form, he didn't get back to me on this.

If one has changed name, changed passport and declare at immigrations, at most they tell you to take the next flight home if they don't allow you entry.
