Thai Lion Air flight from Bangkok grounded after passenger ‘jokes’ about bomb

http://www.todayonline.com/world/asi...kes-about-bomb BANGKOK — The captain of a Thai Lion Air flight scheduled to leave Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport this afternoon (Nov 1) grounded the plane after a passenger reportedly joked about a bomb hidden in a case. Police Colonel Durachet Bandit, chief of Don Muang Police Station, told Daily News Online, the incident occurred at 2.30pm when an air hostess was helping passengers to place their luggage in the overhead lockers. A man in his 20s told the flight attendant to be careful as there might be a bomb hidden in a case. The flight attendant reported the incident to the captain who later cancelled the flight and ordered all passengers to leave the aircraft immediately. The man, whose nationality is not known yet, was taken for questioning to a sub-unit of Don Mueang police station. Details of the incident remain sketchy as explosive ordnance disposal officers are examining whether there is a bomb on board the aircraft, according to Daily News Online.
