Thumbs up Security officer places cone in front of car after losing his self-proclaimed parking

Stomp | Sunday, Dec 15, 2013
A security officer at Leisure Park Kallang had placed a traffic cone in front of a Stomp contributor's car after the officer felt unhappy about losing his 'reserved lot'.

Contributor Bernard was angry to be greeted by a cone in front of his car and he confronted the security officer.

In his report, he wrote:

"The security officer was unhappy that I had parked at his self-proclaimed "reserved carpark lot" and in return placed a cone in front of my car."

He also said:

"When I saw the cone I had already suspected that it was the officer who did it. This is because I visit Leisure Park regularly and can recognise the officer who always puts the cone there.

"I retrieved the footage from my car camera and confronted the management.

"I talked to the officer and asked him why he did it. He said he wanted to 'chope' [reserve] the parking lot. He later apologised, but that is not the point.

"To me, putting the cone there is either a challenge or a mischievous act.

"If the lot was clearly indicated to be a reserved lot, I have nothing to say.

"However, the parking lot was clearly not, as seen by the white markings.

"I pay the same parking fees as everyone else so I am entitled to park at the white lots but the officer had still placed the cone."
