Who shouldn’t take PEP?

PEP isn’t recommended if:

• It’s been longer than 72 hours (three days) since your exposure. PEP isn’t likely to work if you start it too late.
• You take PrEP. You don’t need to take PEP if you’ve already been taking pre-exposure prophylaxis consistently.
• You’re not likely to be infected. Oral sex and exposure to body fluids like spit, sweat and tears are unlikely to transmit HIV.

What happens after PEP treatment?

After PEP treatment, you should get repeat HIV testing at four to six weeks, 12 weeks and 24 weeks after exposure. If your exposure is from sexual contact, you may also have repeat screening for other sexually transmitted diseases at four to six weeks after exposure. Please follow up with your primary care provider for this testing.

Transmission can occur after one exposure.

It is important to emphasize that a person could become infected from having unprotected sex once or a person could have unprotected sex many times and not become infected, regardless of how low or high the risk per exposure is.

A risk of 1% would mean that an average of one infection would occur if 100 HIV-negative people were exposed to HIV through a certain type of sex. It does not mean that a person needs to be exposed 100 times for HIV infection to occur.

Last time when I dehydrated, my pee is very yellow, I will have the hot and pain feeling when peeing. If you paranoid, can go DSC and check up

Ytd I went dr tan liao. Mine not during pee, it's just constant hot. Ytd was only 3rd day, but did all the STD checks, so waiting for results. The only saving grace is that it's not HIV for sure,the rest see luck liao. Knn one oral sex nia, mind going crazy. Dono is it overthinking or what.

This constant burning sensation is only if you pee or just there regardless?
