I like the way Andy can one-touch lay off a pass. It's fairly accurate and better than when he tries to bring the ball down and control it, when he becomes a bit slow and clumsy.

Liverpool have signed Sporting Lisbon teenager Joao Carlos Teixeira.

The 19-year-old Portuguese youth international will join the club's academy having impressed against them in the NextGen series earlier this season.

What I really liked, which the commentators realised too, was that Andy was heading balls into very good positions but our midfielders never were in position to score. I could see someone like Gerrard getting on the end of such balls but unfortunately his fitness nowadays is questionable.

Really hope Carroll and Suarez start against Spurs, though it din work too well in White Hart Lane, I think will be more effective with both players pretty fired up right now.

Yup Carroll needs a run of games now, Kenny needs to put his faith in him and stick by him.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I m a liverpool supporter and I worry about our future. We seem to think that we can buy medals with money. We spent big money on carroll, downing, henderson. But when I watch them play for liverpool, i can't help feel that they are no better than the pplayers we had in the past.

On the contrary, let's look at our biggest rival - Manchester Utd. I hate to say this. But they really have a very formidable squad built for the future 10 years. Anchor young players who can continue to win trophies and medals for Man Utd are Rooney, Nani, Valencia, Phil jones, Ashely Young, Danny Welbeck and Paul Pogba. And I foresee that Alex Ferguson will continue to add a few more rising stars to his squad in the next few years. However, we don't seem to have that kind of strength in liverpool. What do you think?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

The thing i give credit to Man Utd is that they can achieve things with an ordinary squad and in Phil Jones, I think they bought a superstar in the making.
Valencia has impressed in the last few weeks too, shame Rafa couldnt sign him when there was interest.

I still believe if methods work well, Carroll and Hendo will be successes, its just that now we all want instant success.

Players like Downing anger me more, cos he is very experienced yet plays with no confidence and never wants to lead or take responsibility. He seems to be very comfortable being just another member of the team. He needs to realise he isnt playing for mid table mediocrity! Set an example for the younger lads Stewie!

Look at Spearing, whenever given the chance, the little fella really takes control and stamps his authority. We need more of this attitude from our older players, not just from Reina, Gerrard and the centrebacks.

Bro, watch out for paul pogba of man u. A friend alerted me about him. I went to YouTube to watch him play against stoke city and I almost fell off from the chair. He is damn good. Definitely a major star in the making.

And in regards to your comments on downing, yes, I share your sentiments. He is fuck up. I don't see how his running and shooting contributes to the gameplay of the whole team

I don't think the scum have a bright future. They are in trouble financially and their kids - how matter how good Wellbeck and Smalling are - are up against the lights of City and Chelsea.

We haven't spent that much money net actually. We are pretty careful.

What I dislike is the mentality of many fans - not the club - that if Downing, Carroll, Henderson are not up to scratch, buy another striker, a star winger. You see a lot of that during the transfer windows, including the last one. Always looking for quick fixes rather than giving players support and the extra lift.

Hi bro... Who is Suso?... Im pretty worried there are still no signs of Stevie G's able replacement... He's been the sole driving force for e team these past 10 years... His influence too probably had attracted plenty of our ex star players...who will we turn to next when he calls it a day?...Sigghh..
