Latest, there is no direct train from Xiamen to Fuzhou, so if u want to take train, u need to change train at another station. This will take more time than direct coach.

Just to off-track a bit -- I intend to relocate to China and still thinking which province Fujian or Guangdong is the best place to stay and entertain. By the way what is the rental for a average apartment of about 1,000 sq ft in Xiamen

I dun remember the cost. I can remember the first coach from Xiamen is abt 0700hrs, last coach is abt 2300hrs.

I personally have not been to Guangzhou, shenzhen n so on so cannot comment on Guangdong. But I guess both r well developed n fun in entertain is almost everywhere in China. Where to stay also depends what u want to do? As for rental, depends on location n other features in Xiamen. It can be as low as 5000rmb to 20000rmb for 1000sqf 2-3 rms apartment.
