Just for your info, Keling Kia may not be as racist as you think. The 'Keling' portion to the Indian Kingdom of Kalinga. The 'Kia' portion is Hokkien for kid. So next time if an Indian friend accuses you of being racist, you can explain how the term arises. Better not to use the term in a racist way of course. I'm lost. As a kid, my father ask me to call the black people 'Negro'. I know 'Nigger' is racist. Now Negro also racist? Then how do we address them? African-American but they aren't American? Call Evra what...? Afro-French? Now trying to be mean to him, just wish to know the politically correct way of addressing him.

It's not the word but the context in which it is used. Blacks do refer to each other as 'niggers' in camaraderie.

Btw now 'black' itself can be regarded as racist.

Will not be surprise if he choose to leave.
