my PRC spouse and i have being married for 2years. there are ups and downs as any marriage but we manage to go through. so far so good. keeping fingers cross for many good years ahead.

seen some bros here got a few question on passes, marriage cert.

here is my experience and things i found out.

ROM in SG vs China.

ROM in china is rather easy and could be done within a day when you have all the required documents, but it would be very troublesome to get it endorsed.

after getting the marriage certificate, you will need to go to one of the singapore embassy in china located in bejing, guangzhou or shanghai to endorsed it. in short the china marriage certificate is pointless.


ROM in singapore is easier, book a date for rom, apply for her visa via SAVE from ica stating that it;s for the purpose of marriage and it will be approved withing 1-2 days. send it over to her and wala. If you by any means need to get a china Cert of marriage, just drop my the china embassy at tanglin road and get it endorsed, easier, cheaper than flying all over china to get those done.

and a little point to note for all the bros that think because they request for a house in china means they want money, after talking to a few friends, local in china they are all telling me the same thing. It is a tradition for the guy to get a house 1st before marriage, it's a cultural thing even for the locals.

the older generation of PRCs are still stuck in that era where a house is almost mandatory before marriage. if you are marrying a foreigner, i think it would only be fair that you understand their culture and do a give and take situation and hope they understand yours too

haha, thank you for your sharing. first of all, i also marry a PRC for more than 2 years now. the thing is, she never ask me to buy a house in china. come to think of it, why should one buy one in china if you are staying in singapore? don't you think it is ridiculous to put it down as a cultural thing? just buy a nice flat or condo here is more logical.

Well let's put it this way, i know many people see this as a way to go after "money" at the end of the day. It's rather simple, most of the time the guy's parent will buy the house for the son even before he has any intention of getting married.

The house will be under the guys name unless of cause "she" demands that her name be put into the deed than it's fishy

As for the cultural thing, since you married a PRC than i think you understand that in china "face value" or "bragging rights" which i do not approve or like is part of their culture. Having a house is "face value".

I am getting marry around july or aug this year with my prc gf. Just to ask you mention we book a date in ROM then apply via SAVE(ICA) for her to come over. The next qns i would like to ask is that after i got the ROM i will apply for her LTVP is it will it be easily approve ? As i am also thinking about the air ticket and stuff if it is easily approve i was thinking about getting a one way ticket but i not sure will it have problem when she went thru the ICA without a returning ticket do you have exp on this ?

I just divorce PRC after six years, first we fuck every where and almost everyday, second year we fuck once a week only at home, then third year we fuck once a month only at home in the bed room, fourth year we fuck once every three month because her daughter already 14 years got to be very careful, cannot make any noise.... Fifth years onwards she fuck around with the men before she get to knows me, work in MP.…… until one day I go home early I found a pack of condom and a vibrator under her clothing at one corner inside cardboard, she said for her own used but later I found another one used condom contains sperm!!!!!! Six years ago I gave up the forest because of a old tree, now realise I'm stupid , fortunately can go back to the forest , pay much lesser and have greater fun!!! This is just to share my experience not compliant, PRC got good and bad but those in Singapore already becomes devil ! They are very materialistic and $$$ face!

LTSVP normally quite easy to get but also depend alot on your income..

as for the 1 way ticket problem.. as long as her visa is approved via Save with u as a local sponsor.. no problems with immigration for sure.

i just ask and checked for u... immigration has never ask her for a return ticket before.

English you can try with the community centre. they have courses however, the price is different if she LTSVP and PR.
