Thanks again. When i thought of kidney in the soup, I was thinking of Hủ tiếu Nam Vang which some places here in California has in it. But yeah, mi quang is definitely one of the many many dishes (food & ladies ) I will be trying lol.

I tried Hu Tieu Nam Vang recently in D3 and I can tell u it's overhyped (despite the place being popular among locals). The rice noodles (beehoon) is hard and chewy.

Mi Quang (known as a Danang specialty) is also overhyped. I didn't think it was anything special. When in Danang, I would go for the bun cha ca (noodles with fish cake) instead.

Of the foods I tried in HCM, Hu tiu least fav, if noodles dish, the pork knuckle rice noodles stew I find it more to my liking, got crab meat inside some more. but Bah Minh is still my fav, my bane, my krytonite...I grow weak ard it...I yearn for it. opps, too much info...

Be careful. Many pimps who should u around the city will also extort u. There is one on this site who commonly takes photos of punters and demands cash from them to remove them. He also tried to contact your friends to expose your activities. Many of these pimps also take customers to unsafe brothels owned by their friends. Women In These far away brothels are often mistreated and forced to have I saw sex. This means there is a high incidence of HIV and STDs in these brothels. You are absolutely right. What do you expect from a third world country where sexual disease awareness are poor. I was told by a vietnamese friend that in local places, they do not see the need to use condom during sex, that account for the high HIV rate in Vietnam.

According to my this local friend, alot of his friends also contract gonorrhea at young age thru blowjob at massage place. Chances of infection are very high in local joint.

On the other hand, it is much safer in tourist area because most customer are foreigner who have better awareness of STD, hence, insist on using protection. Girls who work in D1 and used to serve foreigner are more inclined towards practising safe sex.

I visited HCM last Nov for the first time with some friends. I stayed at saigon nights, it wasn't the best hotel, but it was girl friendly, cheap (28$ a night) and right in d1 at 7 nguyen trai.

Aside from KTV, my friends and I also did a lot of clubbing at some club called kumho at 39 le duan, DC and lush.

There are girls working (all wearing same color dress) at kumho and DC who will party with you for a 500,000 though anything after closing is up to your game. There are also a lot of FL at most of the clubs, more at DC and lush than kumho when I was there.

We also went to a couple hostess bar with live music, one was MZ and I'm forgetting the name of the other one.

I might be in HCM mid/late September after going to hong kong for work, so I decided to check out the site again and finally registered.
