It's really a lose lose situation. If Torres stays, I seriously am not sure if the fans will take to him if they see his attitude and body language are poor.

But then in recent seasons, we have got Terry and Roo also wanting to leave, and stayed, and the fans have forgiven them. Memories are short these days

if the player's heart and mind is no longer with the club,it will be much better to cash-in with the present valuation instead of waiting for the player to change his mind and heard.
use the cash generated wisely to bring in a few good and quality players,will be much better.

I agree but the transfer window is too short to get a decent player if u r looking for a bargain buy or top player
Likely FT will leave this summer n hopefully the reds can move on from there

When you try to sign a player in the last hours of the transfer window, the buyer tends to get squeezed for more money. It's a battle to see who wants the transfer more. We squeeze Chelsea to cough up more for Torres. Others squeeze us more for the replacement players for Torres. I just hope we will emerge stronger and better come tomorrow.

I just feel it's damn smart to say we want $50 million pounds. If Chelsea can't cough out the money, we can tell Torres that they don't want you badly enough and get him to play for the rest of the season. If we do get the money, we will be able to bring in replacements (hopefully better than those we signed in the past, no aquaman please.)

Why can't Torres hand in his transfer request at the start of the window?? Nah bei leh... Must say he wants to leave after we took so much pain to sign Suarez? Not as if we will drop him and play Suarez, it's obvious that we are trying to play them together. Want to leave, leave properly mah. He's already a legend at Anfield, why do an Owen or McManaman.
