Thanks the info so far. Is there a list of recommended hotel in Bangkok? I am looking for a reasonable but nice and newer hotel around sukhumvit area. Prefer close to bts or mrt station and walking distance to most attraction in sukhumvit area. Thanks in advance.

Am not very keen about pubs and bars as I am not so interested into drinking. And what is the mkt rate for overnight? don't want to b treated like a carrot la. Any advice would be much appreciated. Have you looked at Heaven@4 on Soi 4?. It's down the street from NEP and guest friendly. BTS Nana is about a 5-min walk.

Bro, those terms are very qualitative. Have to be more specific.

Could probably try the boutique hotels in Soi Watthana behind Asok. (And hence close to Asok MRT/Sukhumvit BTS stations.) I quite liked Town Lodge which is also nearby, just past Soi Cowboy; it's about 1400b a night and has really nice rooms, good service and a bar downstairs.
