I really wanna see this thread keep growing and get better. But in reality, there is a reason why some of ur uncle frens there just stop coming jc and venture elsewhere... I think its make sense to upgrade ourselves in this xxx trade also, we bros must always move on for something more fun and better even when the chips are fallin off in this "garang" sg now. Bros, this thread is awesome, i love viet chicks and jc and gl but just share the true points here lah. I applaud ur commitment to the viet spring rolls and i will look on frm far, appreciating the fact they were gorgeous memories in my nightlife career... Cheers, no hard feelings man. PS: two tell -tale signs through my observation and time there in this past decade to indicate that the viet scene in jc and gl is evolving into the prc scene. 1) It is becoming common that a viet girl will hug you on the spot and barely 5 mins of sitting wif you in the pub, she saes one word which turns you off( i not sure, i will be super turned off by this.). ''Lucky, lucky me...'' Sure you can pity'the girl and give her tip on the spot, but does not make sense. I am the customer and customer is king afterall. You din do much to make mi happy, why i spare you the tips? This is a case of not working hard for their tips and taking the easy way to earn money from we customers. Its hard on them i knoe to come out and work and u pity them and so on. But there is a limit to this lah. How long can you be so generous? 2) you may have come across some rich uncles who drive their ferrari or lambo or sports cars to pebbles or 155 to drink beer. And interestingly, in the past, i had one viet girl who sat with me for 2 x 5 minute intervals in every hour thanks to ppl like this. Why she sit with me for so short?, the reason was this particular rich uncle told her: '' i give you $200 tips, you just sit with me for 2 hours.'' Of course i cant say and demand these rich uncles to stop doing this and they will not for sure thanks to EGO and face issue, but seriously u ask them, are they spoiling the market? remember, gl and jc pubs like this are considered low end nighlife spots and you rich uncles are throwing ur weigh in this manner in this spots we lived our life in and wanted(wishful thinking but possible) to protect it and keep it going for the long term? I have rich uncle frens who are nice and respectful but still this practice i cant accept lah. Inevitably, things will deprove for poor mongers like us, it is disadvantageous. Just like in the society, SG is becoming favorable for rich fellas, just like in Korea, Japan and shanghai and so on... What to do, our freaking standard of living is so high... Dun wanna sound like UN ambassador here lah lolx, but its sad lah coz SG nightlife is so small and things like tt will kill it man... Anything, just my honest thoughts to share as i really want the best for bros here who loved this place like me for years. Unfortunately, you can keep this memory in your heart and in the back of the mind, but you cant live with it forever due to all these reasons i mentioned. Sorry if i sounded kind of gayish, but i have been holding this thoughts close to my heart for years liao. I feels so good to let you know and hopefully let bros here, even senior ones know this dedicated piece of information from me. Good luck mates, this thread rocks.... e ultimate way to stop all these vbs activities is to stop licensing to pubs, nightclubs and hotels over there.
