Hope this is true and all bidders are smart enough not to enrich the Yanks and put the money where the club's interests are. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
it's official:Liverpool FC are delighted to confirm the signing of Christian Poulsen after the midfielder put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
The 30-year-old, who has been capped 77 times by Denmark, arrives from Italian giants Juventus and will wear the No.28 shirt. Poulsen has previously worked with Roy Hodgson at FC Copenhagen, where he was given his first big break by the current Reds boss. i'm not getting excited at all... hope i'm wrong again.... glad to see kelly scored on his debut for england u-21!! think tis will be THE season for him to make a break into the big scene....!!! gerrard also scored 2 goals last nite, but not happy to see him played for 60+ min, and johnson played full 90 min.. wtf, thot frenly is for capello to judge younger, untested player?!! agger also played full 90 min for denmark...

Poulsen is like a "lucky" charm in the footballing world. Every club he has been to was just about average when he joined them but they all went on to win something after he joined them. His bazhi is water base, with strong mountain background and volcanic fire. This type of bazhi character is sought after by many chinese businessmen because they make very good employee for the company. I believe he will be a very good signing for Liverpool. |

We are spending on the expected income from the sale of Mascherano. The Yanks are screwed if Mascherano dun go. Interest payment = $2.5 million p/week. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Anyway, don't really think that poulsen will play that many games. Prolly use him as a hacker when we play the arse (he is kinda of a chao player). Just get bellamy back and we'll see our red cards tally increase

Excellent reading of the game and cool as cucumber and a Master of the "professional" fouls. With him around I think our defence will not be as panicky as last season. Bellamy's body is breaking up. He has become prone to injuries and at this age will be hard for him to recover quickly. If we take him back he would be spending most of his time on the bench rather than on the field. Between him and Peter Crouch I would rather Crouchie come back. |

Not praising our rival here, RH should really think about what AW did to Arsenal all this while. That is to put faith in the youth team. We have so many talented youth in our club and why not using them. I hope he won't repeat the stupidness of the former manager by overlooking this.Isn't our captain from the youth Academy?

Over-rated manager. You can make the reverse argument about JM who likes to sign players in their 30s and has won titles everywhere he's gone. The age factor doesn't win titles. And do try to understand that signing older players who are experienced cheaply is the best the club can do in these financial circumstances. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Well, you hit the nail in the coffin! You are right about about the financial situation where limited fund is available and thus you only can hope and pray someone like Joe Cole will sign for you. How many of this Joe is available and willing to join Liverpool? If the youngsters at the academy is potential enough, why not?You are not serious are you on Liverpool challenging for the title this season? If RH/RB has the kitty like JM in Chelsea and RM, they will also do the same and win title! But on the other note, RM and MC had spent so much but they ended up with nothing wor !

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
All I am saying is the current policy is a temporary thing until the sale is done.
Youngsters? I have seen our fans turn on youngsters once they have a bad game and given up on them: Ngog, Plessis, Spearing, El Zhar, Insua. If you can name a team of youngsters and not just one youngster like Pacheco, then maybe you have an argument. I think Pacheco and Kelly have great potential and should be given a chance to break into the team this season. But there is no need to go AW's way. It's not my way or the highway. So pls don't drag out that old chestnut in London for reference. His glory days are far behind him. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Nevertheless we fans must be patient with young blood. There are a few now that really deserve their chance. I have said it before and will say it again, gerrard and carra are the last of the successful stepup from the youth academy. We really need more of them coming thru.
