Some coffee shops has increase 10 cents more for cup of hot drinks. Yesterday I ordered a cup of coffee at Yishun blk 156 and was charged 90 cts. Life will be more tough soon.

Outside seletar camp there is a canteen which charge 70 cents for kopi.

Haha, I doubt he is insurance agent or financial advisor, bcos IA n FA are not into fund management per se, they just tell you to buy something which their head office have come out with ... so they themselves dont study the market closely.

Just hold it till in the money then sell, unless you bought at all time high, then you gotta wait for a long time to come.

Paiseh to say this, but worse mistake is to hold long long .... if you think market is not going to go up, it must be going down, if it is going down, why hold on to it when you can sell now and buy back later and lower price.

The first thing you need to learn if you wanna dabble ion stock market is not about taking profit, but about willing to cut loss. take profit anybody can, but cut loss, not many can unless they need the money.

Used to hold fucking long, learnt my mistake. With the current volatility, its best to be nimble, fast in fast out. So far so good. Still holding on some that are in the red, but well, I prefer paper loss to money lost.

Bro maybe you can consider selling some whenever there is spike up especially 2 or more days in a row up market. In this situation mkt wont go up for long as alot will take profit and sell it down again (for those traders). So try sell when spike up, then buy back lor when it drop abit lower, so you cover bit by bit your losses. I know it is easier said than done. But general rule is

when market is red, buy time
when market is green, sell time

So true, but the tough part is catching the peak & trough. Anyway, better stop at here, kinda off topic, least the thread disappear.
