Aside to the contact issue, i went down this afternoon and tried a prc name xia xue. I don't think there is any "scam" involved here. Don't think any bros were cheated or anything. Probably an honest mistake. But having said that, for a PRC to name herself "Erika" is rather rare. I only see pinays having that type of name.

After a few PMs to bro Alputo, he FINALLY replied.

Despite repeated PMs with the title telling him the contact he gave was incorrect and the many posts by other bros here doing the same, he ignored all of these and continued to give the incorrect number.

I think it is super irresponsible of him. Also heard from other bros that this is NOT THE FIRST TIME he is coming up with such a thing.

Bro Alputo told me the girl gave the wrong contact to him. Fair enough. But Erika and Eric (the supposed guy behind the wrong number) is so similar, very coincidental if you ask me.

I went down to recee and few times and asked that row of girls, no one knew of this girl's existence as well.

But I don't want to comment any further, just want to warn bros if you receive a contact from Alputo next time, double check to see if the number is valid. To protect yourself, you could:

1. Use a different number, one that you always use to cheong and not your own personal one.
2. Add the number to your contact list and see if they have a WeChat or Whatsapp account. Verify with the profile photo. PRCs tend to prefer WeChat.
3. Call the number with a public phone if you can find one.
4. Go down personally to verify if you have time.
