Xing knelt down in front of Agnes. Not knowing what to say or react. He knew no matter what he said or do, Shane is not going to be back. Why did he have to do that? Seeing the last letter that Shane had given him left him dangling with sorrow.

He knew that part of his heart was gone too. He had fallen in love with her more than he could have imagined. But there was too much at stake. He had a family. He could not provide her with anything. It would be unfair to her.

He wished he could see Shane one last time. But it was too late.

As Shane left, she had told Agnes that she might not be coming back again.

Would Xing meet Shane again?

Only time will tell. But the answer would most probably be a no. Shane had left everything with Agnes.

Xing turned his back and left Agnes's room with his head bent low.

*Goodbye Shane, hope you find your happiness. I'm sorry I couldn't promise you anything but I wished to tell you that I loved you.*
