Part 4..Out of Pattaya..and things to buy.

1. Sriracha town - about 20 km North of Pattaya..also known as Jap town. Becos almost all the bars are in Jap letterings..and so called Jap snack bars. Also home to the famous sriracha chilli sauce.

2. Golf courses and Driving ranges - many many

3. Diving - a growing market in Pattaya..a couple of decent wrecks and maybe a floating body or 2.

4. Bungy jumping and Sky diving - ever growing popularity..you can take your A licence here..whatever that is. i only know muff diving.

5. Rayong - Gateway to South East Thailand..Ie Chanthaburi. Thailand's holiest buddhist place is called Khitchakut...or Buddha's footprint.
Rayong is also home of the Thai durian. Funny these Thais eat durian that are still hard. We like it soft and smelly.

6. Ban Chang - golfers stopover..some bring golf bags but only do the golfing at Ban Chang.

7. Silverlake vineyard - they actually do grow grapes here.

8. Bira circuit - racing circuit.

9. Koh Samet - there is a casino here..but dont expect Genting or the Sands.

To buy...as Pattaya is on the Eastern seaboard..a lot of cheap dried seafood can be found here. So it also apply that there are a lot of seafood restaurants..cheap and good..from Sriracha..Bangsaen..Pattaya..Bangsaray..Rayong..Sa ttahip..many good seafood restaurants.

Reason for eating hard durian: one of my Thai friends , a chemical scientist , told me bacteria levels much lower in hard durians as not so ripe attract less germs.

Soi 6, kudos ... yours about sums it up for Patts and neighborhood. Yes, Bangsaen is good for cheap seafood. Only 1 resort Tidal Resort, and whole place is kinda wholesome for thai family weekends. Nothing for mongering, and beach is nothing to shout about too.

3. Soi 6..my favourite street..about 50 bars and many girls. If you cant get a girl here stay your room and watch National Geographic.

Soi 1 to 5 - Most famous is Drinking Street..mostly Arabic and Indian customers here. So if you like girls w big asses come here.
Have many bars with live bands between these Sois.

Soi 7/8 - Used to be a lively area but has died down drastically..mainly due to new hotels and also a series of high profile deadly shootings involving Thais.

Made In Thailand Complex - very few Asians go there..

Soi New Plaza - Not a place for pick ups..mostly old regulars nursing their beers..and old ladies nursing their egos.

Soi 13/ Pattayaland - most well known for Boyztown. Nuff said.

Of course there are other areas but those above are more than enough for most people.

Body Massages...
Rasputin..Honey 1 and 2..Sabailand..Sabai Dee. These are the big 5 in Pattaya.

Discos..
I am not a fan..well maybe Hollywood or Differ..some Issan discos can be fun but fighting is common.

For the wierdo..
The Castle offers BDSM.

U forget about Soi Buakow amd Soi Diana for the frugal freddies like me, cheap food, massage and low barfines LOL....

No Mack..I not forget..Soi New Plaza..Lk Metro..Made in Thailand are the main complexes along and off Soi Buakhow. For Soi Diana its just another Soi to me..if I mention it I have to mention 100 other Sois leh.

Waaaaa it seems more and more lurkers going Pattaya. Guys please get your info here but please also input for others la. If previously others don't share with you , how YOU know not to fall into scams? enjoy the best places? stay in the best hotels/areas etc?

knn you two! Bro Soi 6 is nice enough to write a comprehensive summary of Pattaya for newbies and you expect him to tell all! You are not old bird anymore la. You also most probably know some things some old birds don't know .... like how to get a puying to strip during pool!

Its not easy to write something like what Soi 6 did.

Soi 6 - maybe next you can write about the scams like the jetskies and the timeshare. Actually haven't seen the timeshare scam for sometime liow. Maybe the scams of the Russians gogos and the tiger show scams?
