ya, my Msia fren mentioned it before. He said if have 500K, buy a 3rm flat for S$150 and rent it out for S$600+ each month and convert it to RM1200. Buy a RM250K condo in Malacca and can retire comfortably .. S$500K minus S$150 minus Rm250K still got S$225K
Why Malacca? cos its cheaper than JB and has a famous private hospital within that state.

bro unrepentant, dont be so reliant on betting lah. some have the luck some dont... i've some frens who've made big winnings to put down payment for car/hdb flat... i've also lost a few frens who went exile after incurring extensive debts (now alive or dead also nobody knows)

curious, settling down soon... now then start thinking about investments? well, better late than never... it makes a bit more sense to be punting on capital guaranteed investments, with decent dividends, that comes with some basic insurance coverage. at the very least, have your back covered.

IMHO, in such uncertain times with pendemics rampant and all, safer to steer clear from livestocks and/or commodities.

Give u 1 lobang. Buy a re-sale near the new republic poly. Look for those 4 room, then u can look for 6-8 students to rent ur place. 4 figure rental not a problem when the poly is up. Near republic poly, the valuation for 4 room at most 230K. But hor, u must 1st fulfil HDB criterias

(remarks: if you mean those flats opposite Tanglin View condo, then I dun think the valuation is below S$300K for a 4rm flat)

Like you said, HDB would easily allow one to rent out the entire house w/o valid reasons ..
