Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Ok .. Guess this points to more Korean presence
Korean firm starts P200-M golf club By Reynaldo G. Navales Wednesday, March 21, 2012 CLARK FREEPORT — A South Korean firm has started building a P200-million golf clubhouse in a 304-hectare area tourism estate here. Donggwang Clark Corporation (DCC) will pour $400 million for the construction of a world-class tourism estate, including recreational and leisure projects and a golf course inside this Freeport. DCC Chair Lee Shin Kun said the project scheme consists of 36-hole golf course, clubhouse, condominium with 330 rooms, water park, spa and gymnasium, eco park, business center, store and function, international school, golf academy and driving range, clinic and drug store, hotel, casino, 500-unit villas and shopping arcade. Tower 1 and 2 of Donggwang’s Clark ODE County Officetel has also been inaugurated before the grounding breaking ceremonies at the former True North area Tuesday morning. Tower 3 is expected to be completed before end of the year. Lee told Clark Development Corporation President Felipe Antonio B. Remollo that the tourism estate project of DCC is expected to be completed by the year 2016. The company is expected to employ more than 2,000 workers. The project is expected to boost tourism and economic activities in the Central Luzon Region and to provide employment. The Dongwang commercial building, which is worth $30 million, has 10-storey officetel, condotel, hotel and casino. DCC is a Philippine subsidiary of Donggwang Construction in South Korea. The construction of the officetel will generate about 730 jobs for Filipinos in the area. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Citi bank cash withdrawal vs Money changer in AC
During my recent trip I brought both Cash Chinese yuan n China Citi bank atm card to AC. Done both pesos withdrawal at atm n uses cash to exchange for pesos at Zeny's money changer. Today I went to check my balance at GZ citibank n made a comparison computation. Results were out of my expectation. Exchange rate at Zeny's Money changer 1 Yuan = 6.55 pesos Exchange rate for citibank pesos withdrawal 1 Yuan = 6.7 pesos Citibank atm withdrawal is 2.3% better than cash exchange at Zeny's. Defnitely bringing minimum cash to AC for the rest of my trips. |
