Real Weather in CP...

Since yesterday, weather in CP is freaking cold... I have to wear my winter wear... be warned for those coming... Better check the weather forecast!

Was in YiHao KTV last night... quality so so, quantity also so so. Maybe it is the cold weather plus Monday night.

It seems nowadays KTV spending in CP really getting very high... if open own room for 2 to 4 people, costs easily 1K to 400rmb per person even for small room min spending. But for those thinking CP is expensive, other places like Chengdu, Chongqing or the inner chinas, same apple to apple ktv is more exp. Not to mention SZ, BJ and SH! China is getting more and more exp to cheong.

Sad... CP is getting too exp for poor cheongsters like me!

You need to check before you fly and its the END of Nov. bound to be chilly

All the places you mentioned cannot compare to CP lah. SH CQ SZ ( face of China) they are very restricted and costs are alot higher due to type of clientele.

daikor, my humble opinion and personal experience on two of these transport service.

Put vehicle breakdown aside as this are rare occurrences, Hua Tong have been improving a little lately, with their drivers driving as formula one racers and try to reach the airport in approximately 2 hours with custom time included. Thats if you do not mind the risk these drivers take by cutting lanes and driving as fast as they could.

Also, Hua tong these days do not need to change vehicle, but occasional stops at certain spots are inevitable. Ironically, I do not have any pitstop on my previous trip as it went straight from HKIA to CP and CP to HKIA.

Yong Dong on the other hand is horrible. I waited at the Shenzhen Plaza for the exchange of vehicles for about 1 hour, and it took me 4 hours to reach CA from HKIA, even though CA is much nearer to HKIA than CP.

I think you should just cater your own vehicle for your own comfortable ride instead.

was there last week and the weather are normal .... some bro from here even wear bermudas walking on the street ....

turn cooling on last weekend ....

but i guess by the time i reach next month would drop to 5-10 degree just like last year ..... better check days before you fly.

Last Friday was still quite ok. Saturday started raining and the temperature start to drop. With the cold wind blowing, hard to survive with just berms, especially at night. I reckon the attire for CP now at the very least is jeans plus jacket.

taikor ..... i suggest u do not take the shared mpv becoz they will fit 7 paxs (exclude driver) into the mpv .... it can be torturing even for my size ...

honestly .... i prefer the drivers to drive safely then recklessly ....
it's not worth it ....

Took HT recently and it took about 2hrs 15mins to reach HH (CP). Slow in clearing HK side custom about 20mins and only 8 mins to clear China custom.

Pitstop at Shenzhen bay after the custom for drop off 2 persons and another place in "putian" carpark to drop off another 3 persons but don't need to change vehicle. The vehicle speed at some part of the highway (HK & China) was 130 to 150 km/hr.
Got a chance to ask the driver about the drop off and he mentioned if all passengers from HKIA are going to CP than no pitstop.

As a smoker, I prefer pitstop to take a quick puff and also more sitting space.

As for Yong Dong, there is a need to change vehicle.

Last trip this year. Cooling weather but everyday also rain .

Sat Huihua (7 bros)
Sun Regency (7 bros)
Mon Mayflower (5 bros)

Enjoyed Regency best because of the "Joe" factor. All girls very active when bring back to hotel. Seriousy, I feel that regency really improved alot since Joe went there.

Stayed in Miraton for 2 days then cannot stand the bed cos too hard so back to my "homeground" Mayflower.

As usual do the crocs shopping, swiss bag shopping and DVD shopping.

4 more days before going home.
