Japanese AV industry plans 2nd round of Singapore auditions for male roles

Tokyo-based AV producer 夢精スタジオ is planning a second round of auditions in Singapore to recruit male talent, after the first round held in September 2015 failed to draw many suitable applicants. “We had hoped many Singaporean men would attend,” revealed Katsuo Ayumu, a JAV industry source who has had a long and well-endowed career as a producer of adult movies. “Unfortunately we only had a small handful of actors’ come.”

Despite the disappointing results of the first audition, the studio remains positive on the prospects for recruiting male actors from Singapore. “We will be holding the second round of auditions in March,” revealed Mr Ayumu. “Our domestic market in Japan is eager for new male talent, and up to 25 current male stars will retire this year, so we have many holes to fill.” The venue for the second round of auditions has yet to be confirmed, but Mr Ayumu noted his studio was in discussions with the owner of a warehouse in the Tuas District. “We always conduct our auditions in industrial areas, because we’ve found this attracts more blue-collar workers,” said Mr Ayumu, who went on to explain that “we find them much better equipped to deal with the hard work & stressful positions that the life of a JAV actor involves”

When asked to share tips for aspiring actors, Mr Ayumu offered some useful advice. “It’s good to do some light exercise on the morning of the audition to settle the nerves and also improve blood circulation,” he said, also mentioning that candidates should attend the audition wearing comfortable, loose clothing. “At the last audition we had one man attend wearing a full business suit, which is great if you’re applying for a job at a bank but not so suitable for a role as a male JAV actor.” Finally, he added “One of the most important things is to eat a large serve of pineapple at least 24 hours prior to the audition; this will ensure the female co-star will enjoy the audition as much as you.”

Mr Ayumu mentioned that applications for the next round of auditions will be open in late Feb through the 夢精スタジオ Facebook page, with the audition date scheduled for March 25.

been rejected by some of the soapland in tokyo too..even though I look like a jap and speak like a jap, but I told them directly that I am foreigner in case I got into trouble for faking to be one..especially when you know all those joint are run by yakuza..


but I always prefer the pink saloon for a good b2b, and oral.. (BBBJ, etc)...sometimes you get nice pretty one, sometime you get fat one..haha...but it's dirt cheap...6000yen for 2 session of 20mins each...

Just boycott Tokyo's soapland. Go for Tobita Shinchi better.

May be too late but you can try Yoshiwara. There are some soaplands there which are gaijin friendly.

The guy outside these soapland will be inviting and if they gesture for you to go in, you can say "Nihongo ga shaberimasen" which means I can't speak Japanese. Then you can proceed to ask "Haitte mo ii desuka?" which means Can I go in?

Take note that they may charge you the gaijin rate which is more expensive than regular rate. Also your choice of girls will be limited as a lot of the gals do not take gaijin customers. Also check out their prices first as the prices varies a lot between different establishment. Be prepared to fork out around 30-40k yen for a mid range soapland package.

Now in Tokyo Shibuya. Tried strawberry jam twice.

Strawberry jam is a fashion health and they allow gaijin. 1st time charge is a bit more @ 16k for 45min std course with girl of choice. Second time as a repeat customer normal rates @17k 1hr.

Premises condition is poor but the girls look great and gives good service. It may depend on what type of personality u choose and your individual chemistry)

Its unlimited shots within the time, bbbj,hj,69,lotion,sumata whatever you choose. No fj though even if you offer "tip".

Rest please google yourself. I speak some broken Japanese by the way.

I tried the Shibuya branch. Pricing is similar but at least the girls are Jap so that's a fantasy fulfilled. And yes, the room is cramped and dirty so it's really a place for you to just release and go.

Will be in tokyo for short work trip 12-14 April, wonder if any bros free to head out together. Good with trying to pick up girls in clubs or visiting NHP, strawberry jam etc. If not i would just pick from asian mystique! new to the japan scene!
