hi guys. i'll be heading to hadyai by taking flight to alor star (should reach airport by 5:30pm on Thursday) then take taxi to border. after the border will goto to hadyai by taking bus. I plan to stay in 'Be My Guest' guesthouse. When i reach hadyai via bus, do i take a tuk tuk/taxi to the guesthouse or do i approach any travel agent to book a room when i reach hadyai? Sorry this is my 1st trip so i'm not sure.

I'm planning to stay 2N in hadyai and 1N in danok (next day fly home).

Since this is your first time....go to a tour any tour agency....buy a voucher cheaper that way, then only take a tuk tuk there...if you take a tuk tuk there then the price will be higher.

If you don't know the "puying farms" then the tuk tuk will take a commission on the puying that you booked if they take you there.

If that is the case book only for one day then pay for one day only. Tommorow re-nego with the OKT surely got "discount" (minus the commission for the tuk tuk driver who took you there.....normally it is THB500.)

If you manage to find this guesthouse, I doubt you can get a room there! You may try another guesthouse next to it, but no lift ya!

If you take the mini van from the border, the driver will drop you right at the guesthouse provided you had informed him. Local travel agent do not sell room for guesthouse, they sell hotels room within the city only.
