20 soldiers injured as protesters clash with soldiers

BANGKOK: -- About twenty soldiers were injured when red shirts protesters hurled explosives into them at Si Yak Kok Woe intersection at about 8pm.

The injured soldiers who were dragged from the scene were seen soaking with blood.

Reporters were barred and pushed back to be behind soldiers' columns.

The soldiers then fought back by shooting rubber bullets at the protesters.

Sounds of exchange of gunfires were heard sporadically.

The Reds hurled rocks as troops tried to clear one of two protest sites in the capital with tear gas, while gunshots echoed around the city.

I was at Central lat prao yesterday evening..very crowded prob because the malls in town are closed. Life still goes on but i think its starting to get more and more inconvenient. BTS was down at some point of time. MRT was still running. I thought they might let it die down by songkran but seems they are pretty determined to see this through.
