Grab has commenced operations in Batam with effect from yesterday.

There is currently only the Grabtaxi option, and I think only 2-3 SilverCab taxis are on it as test pilots, but I'm sure will have more in the future.

It can only be better for us consumers in the future...!

Tried once today. Only one car available when I open the app. from hotel 89 to Batam Center quote 40K~60K. Almost the same as wave by the road

I guess what's advantageous now is that you can book via phone app if you don't have an Indon number to call the SilverCab call centre.
