This is not the worst. Recently, I met a VB who didn't know how to use question mark. She like to put question mark at the end of every affirmative sentence. e.g.

em nho anh?
em chi di lam thoi?

It took me a while to figure out that she didn't know when and how to use "?"

No leh. Ask this type of question is like committing a financial suicide. I just acted blur and did not reply her sms. I was thinking to buy a pack of chocolate for her, but she is asking for music handphone. Certainly cannot.

I want to laugh hard. I also hook her up last Monday, but in the afternoon. She also told me "e yeu a roi". So I also decided to dump her.

We eventually become sperm brothers.

In fact, this gal in my signature and the one asked for music handphone is another 18-year-old girl called Tran, not Tho. I know Tho is also 18-year-old. Tho told me she only goes to hotel with me because "em yeu anh roi", but I don't believe her at all. She is too experienced.

But now I am also wondering whether I should change my signature or not after becoming your sperm brother. These VBs cannot be trusted at all.

Streams and waterfalls give romantic Da Lat a ‘tough’ reputation

Da Lat evokes the leisure of a hillside resort, the romance of lakes, flowers and misty mornings, but it has a dangerous and thrilling undercurrent as well.

The Central Highlands town in Lam Dong Province is a veritable paradise for a series of adventure sports - rock climbing, abseiling, parachuting or biking on rough terrain.

Attesting to the growing popularity of these sports and of Da Lat as an adventure-sports destination are nearly 10 service providers at the end of the sloping Truong Cong Dinh Street. These establishments have professional trainers and instructors, some trained abroad.

For the young and strong at heart, riding elephants, biking up Lang Biang Mountain or climbing down cliffs of the Prenn Falls and overnight stays in the forest are “relaxing” activities.

Among the most adventurous activities on offer is an exploration of the seven-storied Datanla Falls.

On the third floor of the fall is a cliff 20 meters tall that stands almost upright. Passing it is a challenge that is rewarded by gently flowing water on the fourth floor, but the real adventure awaits on the sixth floor with a 25-meter high cliff and a whirlpool. Its decision time... do you accept yet another challenge?

The magnificent seventh floor of the waterfall is sometimes referred to as the “washing machine” because of its crazy, whirling waters.

If you want a quick way down, a roller-coaster like contraption has been rigged up, adding to the excitement.

All these thrills and danger does not mean safety is not given priority. It is. Trainers will cancel the whole tour at the slightest hint of something unusual, weather-wise.

Vo Duc Trung, director of one of the units, said international schools from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Thailand and several foreign-invested companies have in recent years been sending students and employees on these tours as a way to build up their courage, creativity and adaptation skills, not to mention to confront and solve problems.

Ngo Anh Tuan, a manager and trainer with Da Lat Discovery Travel, told the Lam Dong newspaper that their new tour – crossing the La Ba River on a rubber dinghy – led tourists to feel proud of their own courage and survival skills.

The tour begins with around 45 minutes of warm-up exercises after which they can enjoy the Hang Cop (Tiger Cave) Waterfall and a walk through a pine forest, pass several hills and walk down to the La Ba River.

Here, rubber dinghies wait. Trainers distribute lifejackets and instructions on rowing it through rough waters and tell you not to panic even when the boat capsizes.

This adventure takes about three hours, during which a seven-kilometer stretch of the river and eleven rocky waterfalls are navigated. After a well-deserved rest, there is another sixty-minute walk through forests to reach National Highway No. 20 before heading back to downtown Da Lat.

The rowing journey costs US$60 a person.

Tuan recalled that a US tourist named Justin had emailed him after returning home, saying he keeps missing the adventure that was “full of joy and excitement.”

================
HOW TO GET THERE
================

By motorbike: Take National Highway 1A from Ho Chi Minh City. Turn to National Highway No. 20 at Dau Giay T-junction. Da Lat is 306 kilometers from HCMC.

By bus or car: From the Mien Dong Bus Station in HCMC’s Binh Thanh District. It takes 7-8 hours and costs around VND100,000 (US$5.14) a ticket.

Warning for ppl travelling to central vn:

35 people die, downpour continues in central Vietnam
================================================== ======

VietNamNet Bridge – Heavy rain continued in the central province of Ha Tinh at night on October 18 and early morning October 19. More than 100,000 residents are isolated by water.

According to a brief report of the Central Steering Board for Flood and Storm Control, the rainfall in Ha Tinh averaged 30-70mm and reached up to over 100mm in some districts last night (October 18) and early this morning, October 19. Within a week, some places in Ha Tinh suffered from the rainfall of up to 900mm to 1,200mm.

Heavy rain and floods have made thousands of people in the central region homeless as thousands of houses are under water.

Floods caused traffic congestion on National Highways 1A, 15A, and Ho Chi Minh, and many provincial roads in Ha Tinh. Many roads were submerged at many sections; some were even under 2.5m of water. Many tracts of National Highways 15 and Ho Chi Minh in Quang Binh were also submerged under 0.5-2m of water.

The water level in rivers from Nghe An to Quang Binh provinces continues to rise. By October 18, 35 people had lost their lives and two others remain missing in the central provinces.

Nghe An currently has 113 communes with over 30,000 families inundated, including 35 communes deeply submerged and isolated. Ha Tinh has more than 110,000 households and Quang Binh with nearly 29,000 households flooded. Over 140,000 people in the three provinces had to evacuate.

Ha Tinh Chair Vo Kim Cu said that due to their limited resources, the province has asked the Government to provide 30-40 boats to evacuate local people from flooded areas and around 5,000 tons of rice and medicine. In the initial period, the Government will need to provide VND1,000 billion to help local people get back to normal and ensure social welfare.

A live TV broadcast on October 17 called for coordinated efforts to overcome the damage caused by the two recent historic floods.

Tran Duc Lai, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, launched a campaign to send messages to flood victims. Each text message “UH” is sent to 1405, and VND5,000 will be given to flood victims.

Exhausted in flood

Hoa Hai, a commune in Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province, was still surrounded by flood in the afternoon of October 18. Many electric poles and ancient trees were flooded to the top. Hundreds of people sat on their roofs to wait for the water to go down. Whenever they heard the sound of canoes, they waved their hands for help.

In a dripping wet blouse and with a seedy face, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang recalled: “It rained the whole of October 15. By 2am October 16, water from the upstream flocked to Hoa Hai. Water ran impetuously at night. Everywhere there was screaming and shouting. The water rose up very quickly. My family finally had to climb the roof.”

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoai tried to row her small boat in a swift-flowing current to take instant noodle and water from rescue workers. She said her family lost their house and assets in the previous flood and they were hit by flood again.

Watching her assets being swept away by water, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phuc in Huong Giang commune, Ha Tinh province, said in tears: “Several months ago, our fields were cracked because of drought but now everything has been swept away by flood. We are exhausted!”

On October 18, the flood in Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province, was still at the highest level since 1978. Local residents survived onthe instant noodles and mineral water supplied by rescue workers.

In the meantime, the storm Megi is coming. “If the storm comes, we will surely die,” Van said.

Hoang Cong Ly, Chairman of Huong Khe district, said that local residents are getting exhausted because of continuous flooding . All relief aid in the first flood was swept away. People are in serious shortage of food, water and medicines.

Agriculture Minister calls on localities to actively prepare for Storm Megi

The Central Steering Committee for Flood Prevention and Control held an urgent meeting on October 18 to assist in overcoming the consequences of Storm Megi and asked localities to actively prepare to deal with the storm.

At the meeting, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, also head of the Central Steering Committee for the Flood and Storm Control, asked localities to prepare rescue forces for Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. He also asked the Farming Department to assess damages that will be caused by the storm and prepare breeds and fertilizers to help farmers restore production activities.

Minister Phat urged these forces to continue to evacuate people in Ha Tinh and Nghe An to safe areas and provide them with water and food, and especially to provide medicines to help Ha Tinh residents deal with the polluted water resources.

This morning, October 19, Minister Phat said that storm Megi may pass Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago (Paracel islands) and called ships which are sheltering in this area to return home.

Da can also be used as a past tense, and Khoi could mean 'no need'. In essence, da Khoi could mean 'no need already'. I'm just saying it could.
