A Long Awaited Affinity

Somehow something felt wrong.

Mei ran and disappeared. Guess getting caught red handed was something she've never expected. Things came to a stop after that incident.

It was a relief that nothing had happened after. To avoid her, we have not go to eat in Chinatown again.

It was a windy and rainy day where we were strolling along the bustling streets of Orchard. The traffic was heavily congested due to the cars. The lights were beautiful with the Christmas decorations. Both Rong-er and I held hands close as her head leaned on me.

Me: Dear shall we walk to the opposite side? Let's take the shortcut yea? We jaywalk from here. Don't worry. I'm a pro in this.

We were waiting for a good chance to cross when the cars are slowing. But it doesn't seem to slow at all. There were some people who were just beside us, waiting for the cars to slow and jaywalk. I heard some familiar footsteps behind me but ignored it when suddenly someone tripped and gave Rong-er a hard push which led to her stepping out towards the heavy traffic.

A loud honk came as the headlight blinded Rong-er for a while and she froze due to fear. The car couldn't stop in time. I could hear a loud screech and a high pitched laughter. I dashed out, pushed Rong-er back to the place where we stood when the car came with all its might. I turned and looked at Rong-er and was happy as she was safe. The vision I saw slowly turned red and in the background I saw Mei. Rong-er was well beyond shock when she saw me flying and landing down the road with blood splattered everywhere.

Rong-er: AHHHHHH NOOOO...Noooo..NoooOo.. Xiang!

She ran towards me and Mei followed behind.

I was already beyond my limits when I mustered up my last strength to touch Rong-er's face.

Me: I...I... lo...ve... y..ou.. li..ve.. for...me.. Rong-er.... let us meet... in.. the.. next..li..fe...

My last moment I stared at Mei as I closed my eyes.

Rong-er face had the blood stain of my hands as she broke down and screamed.

Rong-er: Nooo... please don't do this to me. You left me in the previous life. Not now...not now please Xiang. We have a long way to go...

The rain did not stop. It was as if heaven was crying for this.

Mei just sat there. Shocked to see what she have done. She stood up and left laughing but crying at the same time.

The ambulance came but to no avail. It was too late for me.

Rong-er fainted and was brought to the hospital, the pain was too hard for her to bear.

Upon regaining consciousness she disappeared and the next thing everyone stared in horror as she plunged down.

Rong-er: If we can't be together this life, I'll follow you too. Let us be together in the next.

The article came out in the newspaper the next day.

"Lovers who followed each other, even in death".

The fortune teller shook his head and went on to smoke his cigarette.

Mei stared in disbelief, even in death they are together. She sobbed quietly and looked at her palms. This murderous hands stained in blood. She tried to wash it numerous times but the very sight of Garcia dying in front of her stayed with her throughout her life.

Soon her son grew up and he resembled Garcia so much. Then one day he went to mummy.

Son: Mummy, mummy. I had the same dream over and over again! Why is this so?

Mei: It's just a dream, son.

Son: Mummy, I dream of the same green scenery overlooking the mountains.

Mei dropped the plates of food and cried.

nice write bro. actually i got some weird points that u might want to take into consideration.

the son seems to be reincarnated by Garcia. however he is born when Garcia saw Mei at chinatown. therefore it might be better to see Mei when she is pregnant instead of son come out liao.

heavy traffic at christmas, hard to jaywalk but impossible for car to move so fast to instant death as the cars jammed so badly.

paiseh maybe i too gek gao liao haha anyway i still look forward to the next story. cheers

Mei's son was Garcia's. And she purposely hid him from Garcia, knowing that Garcia would take responsibility. That's why Mei requested for Garcia 3 days in a row to f her.

Bro Coffeecans, we know the son is Garcia, but I think you are trying to show that Garcia has reincarnated as the son, that's why the son is having those same dreams like his father.

Hence if the son has been born before Garcia is dead, he couldn't be his reincarnation. So a better way to write this would be that Mei is pregnant when they met again and after Garcia is dead, then she gave birth to their son
