I never flew to Caticlan, as the price to Kalibo sometimes is substantially cheaper ..

bro the commute from kalibo -> caticlan ferry terminal is about 2 hours by land transport.. depending on the modality, it can either be a relatively pain free big bus ride or a bumpy van out of hell ride. i experienced both before and unfortunately i think the van turned me off from flying to kalibo for now at least. yes the prices are much cheaper but if you book early enough can still get away with a rather reasonable fare to caticlan.

didn't check out the p4p scene when i was there, always brought my own. but yes, loads of cute taiwanese, hk, and jap chickies...

pub crawl sounds fun, will give it a shot (pun fully intended!) when i go there again

as for comparisons with bali, yes, i would say it's a bit more congested and crazy since they have built up stalls and hotels all the way onto the beach as compared to bali where there is still some sanity before you hit the beach. prices are also cheaper at boracay i suppose as less ang mos compared to bali

I have transferred KLO-Caticlan by bus and by van .. van is not so comfortable, but it is not over packed, and aircon, so can tahan the 2 hour ride ..

though if you get the jump seat in van, then it is a bit more than uncomfortable .. still can live .. compared to travelling in India and the like

Try joining the Pub crawl on monday and you mite find companion for ur stay during the mid week, and join again on saturday to find a new companion for the weekend (if you guys plan to be in Boracay for 1 wk of FUN!!) Or you can also join the all the pub crawl including that on thursday, if you liver can take all the liquor abuse...hehehehe I met those 2 on the Thursday Pub crawl, dnt worry, you have lots of options to "socialize" with.

Had Local FL on monday nite, thanks to my hotel bell boy who brought me to the local bar scene area in Boracay. (Im not refering to cocomangas or paraw)

I miss BORACAY!!.....Next destination Palawan & Coron...Lots of backpackers euro girls and korean going there too during the summer holidays
