Hi Bro Nikay, are you there for the fair? I'm here now and enjoying the 'GOOD' life for 4 days. Great foot massages for 2 nights straight and now just finished Haiyatt Garden Hotel's in-house entertainment! The price quite alright at RMB600 and add RMB300 can have it for the night. Not too bad selection and the hotel's at Houjie E. Ave.

I've not surveyed the SZ scene for sometime...

But the famous pickup bar, called CHICAGO at he STADIUM is still up and running... information confirmed with my colleague, as he went there only last week.

There have been many crackdowns...

Anyways, KTV are still all around...

since you been to QUEEN SPA, then next to it is BETTER OLE, it's better than ever, and you can da bao the girls back with a premium, at least RMB 1.5K was the last quote...

It's a safe way to have fun... but I read from big bro, Commanding Officer SinoView that the nearby BBS, Babershops kenna crack down, but I don't know the situation.

Yes, I am living in Shenzhen permanently... as our homelands, SG land is no longer the land of opportunities, but land of liabilities and sufferings.

China, Shenzhen happen to be the representation of the NEW China... modern, full of potentials, and really, the future of the world.

As our SG land is getting more and more tiring to live, facing immense pressures of housing financing, car financing, family care, all kinds of liabilities, fucking tied... fucking limited possiblities, but to work as a peon for the rest of our lives...

That's one of the key reasons why I have decided to leave my home, Singapore... now, I no longer feel proud to be a SINGAPOREAN...

SINGAPORE could be said to be a first world nation, but with second grade treatment to the citizens.

The CB foreign talents take away all the good jobs, and factories moving out of SG, now left with service based jobs, regional jobs, financial jobs, and hand to mouth jobs, that you can bearly earn enough...

If you have noticed through these years, there are more and more influx of CHINESE nationals, INDIAN nationals, and some whites, swearing in as SINGAPOREANS.

The fact is that there are more and more SINGAPOREAN leaving our homes... causing a huge reduction in SINGAPOREAN population... by the year 2070, there would no longer be any "ORIGINAL" singaporeans left, as quoted by a STATISTICIAN in NUS few years ago.

The question that we have to ask is, WHY?

Answer is simple...

SINGAPOREANS have had it...

CASE I: Stay in Singapore, and face the pressures of liabilities, and do not have a possiblity of getting out of it.

CASE II: Bet overseas that, if we are overseas, we are FOREIGN talents, and would be treated like EXPATRIATES.

CASE III: Do a business in SINGAPORE

CASE IV: Do a business overseas

CASE V: Live in a land of "CHINESE" Dream opportunities (note: american dream is dead)

So, Case I: 70% of Singaporean have chosen that...

Case II: 5% of Singaporean have chosen that...

Case III: 0.01% of Singaporean have chosen that... but the odds are against them.

Case IV: Overseas business means capital... no capital, no business...

Case V: I believe a good 10% of men in Singapore are THINKING about this option... and I'm one of them.

If Singaporean (Chinese) goes to ANG MO countries, mark my words, they will be always treated as a 2nd grade citizen...

But CHINA is perfect, living the ALL CHINESE DREAM, as Singaporean (chinese) are not being descriminated, but easily absorbed to the culture... and with a few years of experience in China, Singaporean CAN survive... and would learn the ways of CHINESE very soon...

Based on my assessment of the possibilities... I conclude to myself, that CHINA would be the next SUPERPOWER, and is already making goods and services for the rest of the world...

Who wants a SINGAPOREAN dream, when you can have a CHINESE DREAM, where the CHINESE dream have a higher chance of succeeding...

yeah I agree with you, I cannot speak for every single industry but the one I am in is pathetic in Singapore which is why inevitably, I am sent here to HK to work on a perm basis. I do miss my apartment, lifestyle and family back home but I guess it's part of a migrant worker...

I go to SZ quite regularly for massages on weekends etc, saw a few other bros here mentioning the same thing. Always glad to hook up together there or CP which is another place i do go to now and then since there's direct express train so vert easy to get in...

Dear Legend888, Demarco, Risis, & all the old birds reading,

As I do travel very often away from CHINA, Shenzhen, I am usually not in Shenzhen city for a good 6 months at a time...

I would certainly love to meet up with all of you guys in Shenzhen, for me to share with you some of the interesting stories that had happened in the past...

The night scene around 3 years ago in Shenzhen is a bit more bold... as you know, it's the Olympic year for China, and now it appears to me that they are clamping down on the fun scenes in Shenzhen, and I guess, only the premium spots like KTV, more high end MP are in operation... (but I have not been in the scene for sometime...)

And yes, I do miss my SINGAPORE home... Singaporean food, and the way of life in Singapore... but I was one of those that could not get a job 4 to 5 years ago in Singapore, so, next destination, CHINA...

I have not regreted leaving Singapore for a better life, as indeed, life is much better when I am in Shenzhen...

If you spend the same money in Singapore, and you spend it in Shenzhen, you'll realize that your spending power increase approximately around 30 to 40% more...

Wow okay seems like you suffered from the fallout in Singapore in the crisis period. Yeah I think Singapore has a bit more way to go before they can eventually rival HK or China. The government now know this for a fact.

Anyway on foreign talents, I guess you are right. I am a very strong Asian Expatriate supporter. The Gweilous whom think they are kings and bloody smart asses are now realising that the growth of the Asian Expatriates is a thin of reckoning to them. Singaporeans are sought after as we are dual language blessed and we understand the asian culture. Being a Singaporean, I am proud of that fact and frankly, a lot of so called foreign talents from Europe and US are 3rd rate at best. And for those that are called first class, all they know is how business is done in other continents and thinking that these culture and work practices would be the best. Plus the occasional reading up books or going to a university to read subjects on culture and attempt to measure and twist it.

I think these are not things in which you can learn no matter how many book one reads. It is this arrogance that gives us the ability to rise rapidly. I think in the next 5 years, more asian expatriates will take up senior roles and push these 3rd rate talents out.

One thing i do realise about singaporeans, in general, a lot of singaporeans are happy to stay at home and very few venture out of boundaries. Singaporeans have a lot to offer Asia. I think many do not realise this yet.
