And you're right, I come from a ridiculously wealthy background and hence have been sheltered from many things some Singaporeans have to face (like what it's like struggling to afford a car and pay for their parents' medical treatments) but it doesn't mean that I'm one of those rich spoilt brats whom everybody hates.

There are two kinds of rich kids.

The first (and admittedly more common) kind waste their lives partying every night, fill bathtubs and jacuzzis with Krug, drive around in a Lamborghini and laugh at everyone who is poorer than them.

The second kind of privileged kids study hard to take over the family business, mix with kids who are not that wealthy, stay in touch with state affairs and try our best to stay as low key and humble as possible.

I admit, my stories in this forum makes it very obvious that I don't come from the average Singaporean family but I believe that my responses in this thread and the other thread started by KiaMLX do not reflect the typical responses someone would expect from the first group of rich kids.

I am extremely disappointed that TS decided to start making personal attacks on me and my privileged background the moment he found out that I was not an average Singaporean. I feel that TS is acting like a rich spoilt brat unhappy that someone could be better off than him. I am also very glad that most other people in this forum did not decide to join TS in his senseless tirade against me due to my background.

TS should stop acting so childish and embrace the fact that there will always be people more well to do than he and these people will have children who will in turn, lead privileged lives.
