just type thewebsitename.com without the http://, u will be able to access it.

What can work here may not work there, and vice-versa. Just google a list of proxy sites, and prepare it before you leave for PRC. Proxy sites come and go. What may work now may not work later. Proxy sites can be closed fairly fast, which means they are easily banned. And another thing to note, you can surf using the proxy sites, but you may not be able to do posting. It all about hits and misses and playing hide-and-seek with the govenment agencies...

That's my personal experience. You may be able to encounter sites which can allow u to post? hard to say.. the only way is to try... no guarantees for what you can do at a proxy site...
