Car drive from Alor Setar Airport don't take more than 1 hour; it take lesser than 30 mins to reach border once you are on highway. No direct flight from Spore/JB though. Will need to connect via KL. Otherwise can fly direct to Penang and take mini van from Komtar on seat sharing basis. Mini Van from Danok to Hatyai is around 45 ~ 60 mins.

Thanks bro.....think you answered bro run001 question liao.....me checked with Thai peers & they told me now cheapest is $38 for 26seater but cant tell me name of shop need to pinpoint to me when I meet them in Golden Mile ....hehehe $2 wont make much of difference I guess......wah i see got coach w/o toilets one ah? Not advisable for bros with weak bladders.....kekekeke.....remember back then many years ago they had budget coaches from GM that din have aircon even ....so guess now cannot comblian too much as long as it gets you there safely

As for hotel used to stay in Sakura but guessed its kinda old now so decided to try something new, as in Mayflower. Travel agent recommended it. Any bros have any good recommendations with the price range around there. Dont need wifi, just want something comfortable that doesn't feel old and used alot

Bro i think still got cheaper de for buses to hdy like 32 seater de hahaha. BTW till now i only know grassland every buses also got toilet the rest not sure. Oh btw prices for bus back to sg have gone up by 100 baht to 700.

ard 850 newest is mayflower follow by new season. everytime im there i stay Golden Crown cause of the big rooms 7-11 and nite market just behind. last went on November price is like 660 from tour agent.

I would think taking from JB would be cheaper but by not much.....bear in mind you must take into account your time & money (not much bus fare) travelling to JB
