I see you will be spending the CNY over in AC. You might like to know this scam that many unsuspecting visitors fall into every CNY.

There will be firecrackers sold everywhere and locals letting them off. Take note that the only time letting off firecrackers and fireworks is legal in the PI is on 1st January and on Independence Day. Many visitors are not aware of this and assume it is okay as they see the locals playing with them without any repercussions. And they get upset when the cops nab them, often complaining against these cops for doing their job. They should know they have broken the law in the 1st place.
