Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Just bought tickets for end Nov to Clark on Cebu Pacific. Paid $107 all in for return ticket. Guess I will be in AC when the SBF task force is in action.
I see that the table chairs are all occupied and I will settle for a nearby table whereby I can feel the atmosphere of the action. Anyway this juice drinker don want to spoil the fun of you young studs. Just remember that old uncle is somewhere around to help. Cheers... from across the bar. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Continue with my vacation in AC. Last night, i went to brown sugar and was interested with 1 girl but it was quite late almost 2 am and we had a conversation and i decided to barfine here tonight coz she told me its better coz i can take her at 6 pm till next day.
In earlier afternoon, my gal friend came to meet me in the hotel and then we went to SM mall. We took a trike from bangkok hotel that i stayed to the jeeney terminal for 50 peso, then we take a jeeney for 7 peso to SM Mall. Surprising that the Mall is huge and have many reestaurant. She told me that if i return, she will bring to other mall. After the mall, she went home and i have free time myself. For the first 2 nights, i stayed at DM residente. it was a good hotel and i think is worth and affordable. Standard room for 950 peso. Then for 3rd night , which was on 20 aug, i changed hotel to bangkok hotel at field ave. I really like bangkok hotel coz its more convenients and the room is more cozy and have wifi in my room. The standard is around 1100 peso. But this morning, i wanted to extend another night but wa told that it was fully booked. Then i went to few hotel like amsterdam, swiss challet, valentino, pacific breeze, grand park central and all was fully booked coz they told me its going to weekend. So guys, its better to book in advance. Fortunately, The DM residente still available and i am now back into that hotel...tonight as usual bar hop again. Will leave tomorrow morning to manila with my gal friend. will cont...check my photos My vacation in Angeles City 18 aug - 23 aug 09 pictures from philippines photos on webshots my contact-09192556193 |

I recommend you buy a Smart Buddy Sim for about 50p (S$1.60). Load in a 300p card and you are good for 2 months "life". Smart coverage is similar to Starhub in its earlier years. I guess 80% coverage countrywide or 99% in cities. Type 60 and send to 258 to get 5 days unlimited sms to smart sims. Generally, sms is 1p per sms. Calls are 6.5p per minute. International sms is 15p and international calls to Sg is 20p per minute. My number in Pi is 09289447777. |

Tips for travellers at Singapore Budget Terminal
Budget airlines have latest check in times and usually its 45 minutes or shorter. Yes of course check in counters open 2 hours before flight.
Book tickets without check in luggage will save you money. Try to have a small zip bag so you can put your clothes in it and you have a pillow to do the horizontal when you get 3 chairs to yourself. Check in last and you have chance to choose 3 chair suites. Also you save yourself standing in line for check in. In the holding room before you board the plane, a queue is common and it snakes round the hall. Don join the queue but sit at the chairs and watch. When queue clears, you go straight up to the checking girl and onto the plane. Try pick seats that's up front or way back. Cos at Clark, there are usually 2 exits and you get to be at immigration ahead of the pack. Or if you have long legs, then ask for 1st row or the emergency exit chairs. Hope these tips help.. From a typical kiasu man. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Last night, i went to few bars again and managed to took some photos and video and miggles around with the door girl and the waitress. Angeles city is far more better than pattaya coz the girls are more friendly and not double standard to asian. I look similar to filipinos but they still treat me the same, friendly and nice. Whenever i go into a bar alone, few waitress and dancer will try to miggles with me and i feel be welcome. I took a doorgirl from camelot for 1500 peso. Had some fish and chips and juice for 400 peso at kokomos. Most Barfine is 1500 peso except gecko, dollhouse for 1350 peso.
This morning, while travelling from angeles city to manila, we got stuck in the flood and jam in manila. Took us almost 4-5 hrs in the bus. I took a bus at Dau station and it cost about 120 peso to manila. Not advisable to take this bus coz later, u have to change a transport and inconvenience. its better to take Fly to bus which can pick u up at your hotel in field ave and its more convenient for 600 peso. To be honest, i dont really like manila coz its crowded, traffic jams, dirty and majority dont speak english. I like angeles city more than manila coz most can speak english and its convenient to go 1 place to another. Nino Aquino airport is the worst airport i ever came across and if u have a friends from manila who want to send you there, they can only be at the entrance only. It sucks and Clark airport is better and clean.I will definitely go to angeles city and not manila. I have posted some photos here. Angeles City and Manila vacation pictures from philippines photos on webshots I took a lot of videos and will upload at youtube....will let u know once posted. |

However i must beg to differ on your opinions of Manila. Comparing Manila and AC is a total different ball game bro. AC is only a small town in the district of Pampanga and Manila is a metropolitan city with many areas. of course comparing a huge city like manila with its many districts like Ermita, Mandaluyong, Cavite, Malate, Makati etc is different comparing that to AC where you are just purely staying at the stretch of roads around Fields Ave area where all the nightlife is concentrated at. If you tried to stay in one area lets say Makati in P Burgos, its pretty much a walk away from all the pubs, girlie bars, food places, 711 stores, huge malls like Glorietta, SM MAll and Greenbelt malls etc. Of course being a big city living expenses is of course higher and prices of girls are higher too. Of course traffic jams are unavoidable for big cities. Look at KL, Jakarta, even our own Sillypore. Its common place to have heavy traffics in these cities. As regards the spoken language of English, well i have not had any problems getting around or communicating with anyone in Manila so far on my trips. Most of the filipinos can speak English and i have yet to meet one who doesnt in all my trips there. One man's meat is another man's poison. I have been to both of these places (AC and Manila) and i will not make a comparison of these 2 places in terms of its living standards, pace of living etc. Of course if u compare purely on the nightlife and its quality of course its a different matter. AC will win hands down for most people who have been there. But for me Manila, especially Ermita and Makati areas does have its attractions which i enjoy that is why i still go back regularly. So most important is to enjoy your trip wherever u go and make sure your $ is well spent. By the way i saw the photos in your link and u r very brave to put your own photos showing your face there. I would encourage you to edit those pictures of yourself unless you want to be a SBF celebrity Anyway thanks for sharing your Field Reports and also those lovely photos of the girls you bonked in Pinoy Land. Just my 2 cents. Cheers Ronsee
