In mustafa the rate today is 4.83. Does anybody know any money changer which can remit for self collection in China .. For example I give sing dollars here and collect cash rmb from their branch or office in guangzhou or china . Cause the china customa have a limit to bring over .

Bro, I think there is no limit leh! Going out with RMB yes but going with RMB? So far I have not heard before. Just a suggestion - When you are in Guangzhou or China, I suggest you go to a Bank like BOC, ICBC, CCB, ABC or BOCOM (Bank of Communications) and open an account. It's as easy as ABC. Just bring your passport and please make a few copies of your passport front page in case the respective bank does not provide photocopy services.

You can apply for e-Banking and Mobile Banking. If you go for both, make sure your China number has a working roaming service because the authentication code will be sent to your China Mobile number plus your PIN number to access the Mobile Banking. With your own bank account, you will be able to transfer SGD/RMB to yourself. Should be simple, right?

RMB rate at V Hotel moneychanger(above Lavender MRT) $4.85. Highest i think at the moment.

How come the exchange rates nowadays so low, when is the best time of the year to get RMB?

Not sure what you meant by, "how reliable these shops."?

If you mean currency authencity or scams then you're worrying for nothing.
No money changer will risk their license unless they want to get a one way ticket to jail!
MAS regulate the monetary industry very tightly.

Rates differ from shop to shop.
So do your homework diligently if you want to get the best rates.

Exchange rates go up and down by market forces and central banks intervention.

For speculators/traders there is no best time to change or not because they short the Forex everyday with different currencies.
You must put in the time to read a lot of financial news and economic data.
Those who are lazy or too busy will engage private bankers to manage their wealth.

So the question is are you changing a lot or looking for private bankers to grow your money?
Three or six figures SGD trades?
If you just want to change a bit to use for cheonging KTV then it'll not make much difference.

i mean do they distribute fake notes rmb?
my fren last changed somewhere kenna 1 fake note out of 30 he changed, but i dun remember where at suntec.. also dun tell me abt rmb checking machine, i know this thing exist, i just dun wanna risk it.

if change at fountain or people park i dun need worry becoz they r reliable.
