Please investigate yourself. Don't take my words for it. Like I said to you before, C class is higher subsidy for beds only. You still have to pay for a surgeon. Cost of surgeon is separate from cost of beds. If you cannot afford surgery, then you have to opt for other treatments like radiation or chemo. Cannot afford chemo pills, then go for physical chemo. There are varying treatment methods with lower success rate. Only when one goes through it, then one understands how the game is played.

If it so easy as just going C class ward to solve everything, Khaw Boon Wan will not tell you to buy medical insurance.

So, only the poorest person in this country have a right to complain? The rest should just Diam lah. Does this logic make sense?

Btw, what medical bills have you paid? Inpatient or outpatient? What ailments? Do you find them cheap?
You did not answer my question. You said that medical bills of $75K for Cancer is high. High as compared to what?

Please take a look at the cost of Brest lump removal + biopsy.
As per the MOH website

From 108 cases in SGH, the average length of stay is 1.5 days and the 90th percentile of bill sizes was $2241. The 90th percentile cost for a day surgery in SGH $1388 (from a sample size of 185).

I did my homework. That's why I dare to challenge your figure of $75,000.

And sugery for Lung Cancer

The average length of stay at SGH is 3.7 days for both B2 and C wards. However, the price difference for the 90th percentile between B2 and C wards is $1551.

That shows that the subsidy for class B2 and C wards extends beyond just the cost of the ward ($35 per night difference).

Look at the one without complications. Look at the cost of PRIVATE surgery. The 90th percentile is only $6088. If you go to SGH and stay in a class C ward, you will definitely benefit from subsidized surgery.

Besides, my question initially (the one you chose to quote) was

agree with you.

Unlike someone, the cost of living has moved from chilli crabs & durians, to treatment of cancer.

Please verify and validate your facts regarding Subsidy. How on earth will subsidy be based on beds only? Based on the totality of a hospital bill, bed charges constitute only minimal percentage. Honestly, this is the first time I heard that one dont do the appropriate treatment due to financial reasons....Come on, please verify and validate your facts.

I have been through once and is now presently going through now.
