Just wondering why human traffic issue is such a big thing in Phil and even Singapore but it doesn't seem to affect Thailand or Indonesia...

I certainly hope the situation in AC would settle down but until it does, I am giving that place a wide berth.

I just prefer to look at it that the majority are pretty harmless fun-loving people who love to laugh, joke, have fun and friendly.

Of course, some are just plain assholes, but that's true of every society, even our own.

From 1st January 2014, City Hall will only issue licenses for 40 bars to operate in an enclosed area to be demarcated by the Mayors' Office for easy monitoring and enforcement.

thanks for the heads up, their efforts seem to put them in better light with the human rights activists etc. but when i look at the larger picture, i remain optimistic about the situation. the more they squeeze, the more they go underground. it's not uncommon for the gals to offer their discreet services by fishing clientele via social networking sites, these days.

after all, the girls have to eat, and they've got mouths to feed. if there isn't any employment that can sustain them, the world's oldest trade is what they'd turn to eventually. and it's not as if the authorities have any sustainable plan to re-educate/reform the girls, that will guarantee them the bacon on the table.

the way i see it, life will be back to normal in due course.

concerning some of the issues in question, there's 2 sides to a coin:
1. age disparity of 10yrs - just check for age when when u're keen on the girl
2. barfine - the joints would be innovative enough to bypass that issue by now
3. human trafficking - 2 consenting adults (>21yo onwards) hold hands/ go on a date/ fk the brains out of each other behind closed doors... doesnt constitute trafficking, cos nobody's forced to do what they're not willing to.

anyway, its up to individuals how they wanna see the situation. i'm hopeful that the rukus will die down in due time.

well bro, ppl dont know what they dont know. sometimes we're given to understand something that is quite remote from its actual implications.

Lol, yes! I've never connected with more hot pinoy's on different networking sites than during the past 2-3 weeks! It is crazy. Ofcourse, none of them admit having worked in this trade though. But I'm already planning on meeting up with 2-3 of them

Actually, I believe that in some countries they are kinda forced into it. But not in the philippines, and not in thailand. Those 2 countries along with cambodi and vietnam I am 100% sure that all my aquaintances were unforced. But perhaps somewhere in Africa they are. And maybe a short few in China are. Although 95% of the chinese do it without being forced as well. And in Africa the reasons are just different. But who likes african girls anyway? At least the ones who gets trafficed away from africa (the nigerians!)
