There is a seaside(don't know the name) and the waterfall.We pay him about 100k (Call him whenever we want to go -cewek ,makan, pick us up at jetty or hotel upon arrival and depature)That was 6 yr back and the driver is no more in this line.
Seaside is much better than waterfall cos u can't see the waterfall but only a swimming pool.(they claim that the water is from waterfall-)

Look carefully at the area around the waterfall and pool..... it was previous a cemetery..... and there are still some graves there.

To all Bro, according to info, during this period 6/10/14- 16/10/14, almost all balai hotel are fully booked, try to pre book via your driver (special arrangements), coz there was about 3k plus ppl coming for sport activities , all balai hotel kena booked by them, otherwise when u arrive balai, u will be find no room for you.

Dont try those established hotels. Try those hotels away fm Maxi area. Kingstar, Horizon, just to name a few.

Bro, this time really don't play play , those small & ulu ulu hotel also full ( like your mentioned Kingstar, Horizon ) , Hotel Royal , Hotel Taman Kelapa (super lousy one) also fully booked.....

Unless u want stay in villa , that one i think u need to negotiate with Papi or Mami , and bed also limited only ...

Aston hotel use to have a lot of incident report... Cewek told me, maybe that is the reason they change name. Recently, it is Paradise hotel.... Heard few months back got cewek suicide there. Again heard all this from other ceweks, don't know true or not?

That aside, I am thinking of retired in Balai since living expenses are low and many Teochew Chinese there. Rental only $1k a yr for the size of 100 sqm. Anyone think the same? Anyone got friends retired here?

The Riau Islands has many ex-Singkees residing there..... Tg Batu, Tg Balai, Tg Pinang, Karimun, Batam, Bintan, Selat Panjang etc...... you can find many of them. Most of them are chinese and have one thing in common...... they are enemies of LKY and have to run road when the thunder party came to power.
When you decide to reside there.... just curse and swear at the thunder party and all these residents will warmly welcome you into their circle.
