as frequent travel to bkk, i have this conclusion .... highest to lowest exchange rate ... base on last exchange on 7 June 12

S$100 change to Thai currency
Sg normal $ exchange booth / shop - 2,480
Bkk Airport booth - 2,428
Bkk bank - 2,400
Sg Airport - 2,378

so if you dont have time to change in sg, dont change at sg airport, it is better to change at bkk airport.

One reason is SGD is seen as a safe haven, vs other regional currencies (in this period of unctainty). Example, vs ringgit now past 2.5 mark
